Kia 200S Stinger entry-level sedan – actual value below the luxury car tax threshold

The large sedan market has practically shrunk, as SUVs have become the vehicle of choice, but of those that remain, and there are only two outside the more expensive premium market, the Kia Stinger is the most compelling. .

A range of four-model rear-drive sports sedans – two twin-turbo V6 rockets that have caught the attention of many police forces across the country and two four-cylinder turbo models – among which I tested the entry-level 2.0-liter turbo eight-speed 200S automatic at $ 54,290 by car.

Still a commendable sports sedan with a 0 to 100 km / h in just 6 seconds. Refreshed last year with a few minor styling and wheel updates, improved driver assistance technologies, and additional safety and convenience features. The Kia Stinger is a very nice sedan – on the road, a delightful GT long distance cruiser and a great driver.

Like all Kias, very well suited to our road conditions and it has been the hallmark of the Korean brand here for a long time – the suspension and steering are perfectly tuned in an extremely well balanced sport sedan. I managed 9.4 L / 100 km on 91 RON gasoline with a fair amount of open road driving. Biggest gripe is the lack of rear window wiper / washer, the Kia Stinger is well taken care of with a 7 year / unlimited kilometer warranty and scheduled maintenance every 12 months or 10,000 km .
